Booking Appointments

Clients can book appointments via:

  1. Mindbody Online

  2. Email: info@matthewhealeylmt.com

  3. Call or text: 314-496-2833

If you book through MindBody, you’ll receive a thank-you text from me within 24 hours, along with a link to a Google Doc outlining these policies. You’ll also receive a confirmation text 24–48 hours before your appointment — just a simple thumbs-up or “like” reply is perfect.

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled time.

New clients will be asked to complete a short intake form prior to their first session.

If you’re having trouble finding a time or need something last-minute, feel free to reach out directly — MindBody doesn’t allow next-day bookings, but there’s always a chance I can fit you in.

Payment

Payment is due in full on the day of your appointment.

I currently accept:

  • Cash

  • Venmo

  • Zelle

(No checks, credit cards, or PayPal — they charge fees I’d rather not pass on to you.)

View my current rates here.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please reply to my initial confirmation text as soon as possible.

  • 72+ hours notice: No fee.

  • Within 48 hours:

    • $25 fee for a 60-minute session

    • $35 fee for a 90-minute session
If you rebook within 2 weeks, this fee will be applied as a credit toward your next session.

  • No-call / no-shows: Full session fee will be charged. Future appointments will require prepayment in full.

Exceptions may be made in cases of emergencies or illness, at my discretion.

Punctuality

Please try to arrive on time. If you’re running more than 15 minutes late, I may need to shorten or reschedule your session. The full session fee still applies unless we discuss otherwise. (See cancellation policy above.)

Gratuity

Gratuity is always appreciated but never expected.

I run my own business, so I set my rates based on local standards and my expenses (rent and insurance). While I may not offer the luxury experience of a day spa, I promise you'll receive consistent, high-quality care tailored to your needs.

Scope of Practice

I am a licensed massage therapist in the state of Missouri. I provide therapeutic massage for stress relief, pain management, and general wellness.

I do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe treatment, but I’m happy to refer you to qualified professionals when needed.

Professional Boundaries

  • Draping: You will be properly draped at all times. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.

  • Behavior: Inappropriate or sexually suggestive behavior will result in immediate termination of the session, and full payment will be due.

  • Zero Tolerance: Harassment, boundary violations, or disrespect will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Health & Safety

  • Illness Policy: If you're feeling unwell, have a fever, or are contagious, please reschedule. I don’t receive paid sick time — your health and mine are both priorities.

  • Medical Conditions: Please disclose any relevant health issues, allergies, or medications. I may request a doctor’s clearance if necessary. If I feel it’s unsafe to proceed, I’ll respectfully decline service, and you will not be charged.

  • Substance Use: If you arrive intoxicated or under the influence of drugs (including marijuana, regardless of legality), I will decline service and require full payment.

  • Pregnancy: I do not currently offer prenatal massage. If you’re pregnant, I recommend the talented practitioners at Vitality Unlimited (where I also work!).

  • Consent: You are free to withdraw consent or request changes to pressure, technique, or focus areas at any time.

Weather / Closures

In cases of severe weather or emergencies, I may need to reschedule your session. I’ll notify you as early as possible.

Minors

Clients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and have a signed consent form on file.

Privacy Policy

All client records are confidential and maintained in accordance with HIPAA and Missouri state privacy laws. Your health history and session details will never be shared without your written consent unless required by law.

Right to Refuse Service

I reserve the right to refuse or terminate services for any reason, including (but not limited to):

  • Inappropriate behavior

  • Health concerns

  • Scheduling issues

  • Boundary violations

Agreement

By booking a session with me, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the policies outlined on this page. These policies may be updated periodically — changes will be posted here.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
