What To Expect

Join me at Joy of Yoga in St. Louis for slow, floor-based yoga classes that blend yin-inspired stillness with self-massage using therapy balls. These practices are designed to release muscle and fascial tension, calm the nervous system, and help you feel more at ease in your body.

Both classes begin with guided techniques to gently roll, press, and pause in common areas of tension. From there, we transition into long-held, deeply supported shapes using props — bolsters, blankets, blocks, straps, and even chairs — to meet your body exactly where it is.

No choreography. No vinyasa.
Just a grounded, curious exploration of what it means to soften, stretch, and breathe with ease.

And yes — expect a few light-hearted moments when those therapy balls hit just the right spot.

Class Options

Deep Stretch with Massage Therapy Balls
Sundays · 12:00–1:00 PM

This class offers a gentle, full-body reset with an even balance of self-massage, stretching, and rest. The pace is slow and soothing, with an emphasis on relaxation and nervous system support.

This is a great option if you’re new to this style of practice or want a calming way to unwind at the end of your week.

Myofascial & Yin: Deep Release with Massage Therapy Balls
Wednesdays · 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

This class places a stronger emphasis on myofascial release, spending more time with therapy balls to address areas where tension tends to linger — hips, low back, shoulders, and upper back.

Long-held yin shapes follow the release work, allowing the body to integrate and soften without forcing or overstretching. This class is especially supportive for those dealing with chronic tension patterns or feeling “stuck” in certain areas.

This Class Might Be a Good Fit If You:

  • Spend long hours at a desk or behind the wheel

  • Are an athlete or active person (runners, cyclists, lifters)

  • Are recovering from injury or navigating mobility limitations

  • Feel burned out, stressed, or in need of nervous system support

  • Want a slower, more supported way to feel better in your body — no flexibility required

Why I Created These Classes

I designed these classes for people who’ve felt left out of traditional yoga spaces — those living with chronic tension, limited mobility, or who simply prefer something slower and more sustainable than fast-paced flows.

They’re spaces to breathe deeply, feel supported, and reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe, grounded, and nourishing.
