Massage, Yoga & Reiki in St. Louis, MO
Helping people feel more at home in their bodies—gently, consistently, and with care.
I became a massage therapist because of how profoundly massage and yoga changed my life.
When I began receiving regular bodywork in 2019—the same year I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training—I found a new relationship with my body: more ease, less pain, and a deeper sense of calm.
Now I get to share those same benefits with others—people navigating stress, chronic tension, or simply seeking a more grounded way to feel better in their bodies and minds.
My work is slow, thoughtful, and supportive. Whether we’re working together on the table or on the mat, I aim to meet you where you are.
Every session is shaped by what your body needs that day. I blend Swedish, deep tissue, energy work, and optional cupping to support deep relaxation, release stored tension, and gently regulate your nervous system—always meeting you where you are, never pushing beyond your comfort.
Clients often describe my deep tissue work as “sneaky”—deep without being harsh, offering effective relief that leaves you feeling loose, calm, and reconnected.
My Massage Therapy Approach
My Yoga Class Philosophy
I teach a floor-based, yin-style class that blends long-held stretches with gentle self-massage using therapy balls.
This class offers a slower, more intentional practice—welcoming to folks with limited mobility, chronic tension, or anyone who may not feel at home in fast-paced or traditional yoga spaces.
Every pose is fully supported with props, and variations are offered throughout. The focus is on relaxing the body, calming the nervous system, and making space to feel—not to push.
The class is accessible to all bodies and experience levels. You don’t need to be flexible or familiar with yoga to benefit.
Therapeutic Massage sessions and Deep Stretch Classes are offered at Joy of Yoga located at 8918 Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO, 63144.
Kind Words From Folks I’ve Worked With
A few reflections from people who’ve shared space with me—on the table or the mat.
"Matt is far and away the best massage therapist I’ve ever experienced!"
He customizes each session to your specific needs and pressure tolerance. His knowledge of the human body is extraordinary — he tunes in to areas that need attention with incredible precision.
It’s been said his hands should be insured; he’s that good! I highly recommend giving Matt a try for your next (or first) massage. You won’t be sorry.
